Description
Handmade using white or terracotta earthenware clay, decorated with coloured engobe slips and oxides and finished using a glossy glaze. For purely decorative pieces areas may be left unglazed and finished with a wax. I work in small batches mixing the colours as I go, therefore sets may vary slightly.
I rolled out a slab of clay, cut out the body and base using a card template and made the form. To decorate I used several shades of green which I painted on with a wide brush. I also used the mono print technique for the foreground. For the plants I’ve used fine detail brushes.
My inspiration was the view of my garden from my studio.
