Sea at Sunset Wax Melt Burner

Description

Handmade using white or terracotta earthenware clay, decorated with coloured engobe slips and oxides and finished using a glossy glaze. For purely decorative pieces areas may be left unglazed and finished with a wax. I work in small batches mixing the colours as I go, therefore sets may vary slightly.

I made this out of white earthenware clay which I rolled out and shaped. I have cut out holes to let the light of the tea light shine through so it glows as well as smelling nice ! I painted on the decoration, using a mono printing technique for the water and an underglaze pencil for the flying birds.
